On 26 January, a press conference was held to mark the publication of a new academic journal, Studia i Materiały Instytutu Strat Wojennych (Studies and Materials of the Institute of War Losses), hosted by Minister Jakub Stefaniak, Deputy Head of the Prime Minister's Office, Bartosz Gondek, Director of the Institute, and Dr Damian Markowski, Head of the Institute's Research Department.

The publication is a forum for presenting the results of research on the losses suffered by Poland during World War II and, more broadly, the consequences of armed conflicts and occupation. The journal is aimed at the scientific community, experts, and anyone interested in historical research.

‘Studies and Materials of the Institute of War Losses’ is available free of charge in electronic form on the Institute's website, in the ‘Downloads’ tab.
