On 18 February, its grand opening took place at the School in Różynach, where it can now be viewed and the stories recorded in everyday and unusual objects can be discovered.
Among the invited guests were Magdalena Sroka, Member of the Polish Parliament, and Maciej Urbanek, Mayor of Pszczółki. In their speeches, they emphasised the enormous role that family heirlooms play in preserving the memory of our country's history, both on a national level and on a local and personal level.
Next, the Director of the Institute, Bartosz Gondek, gave a short lecture on the civic attitudes presented at the exhibition, showing how individual involvement helps to preserve memory and heritage, both locally and nationally.
We would like to thank the Municipality of Pszczółki for their hospitality and openness to joint educational activities. It is thanks to such initiatives that memory truly endures – enchanted in objects and in people who want to pass it on.
