THE CONVENTION OF "GAZETA POLSKA" CLUBS IN SPALE 1/10
On 1 October 2022, during the 8th Extraordinary Convention of "Gazeta Polska" Clubs, a discussion was held "On reparations as a viable reconciliation". At the invitation of the organizers, Deputy Minister Arkadiusz Mularczyk and Prof. Andrzej Przyłębski spoke. When asked about reparations, the former Polish ambassador to Berlin pointed out, among other things, the urgent need for intensive education leading to the formation of a large Polish lobby in Germany. The Professor noted that the validity of Polish reparation claims is not subject to the statute of limitations on a formal or legal level, if only because factories and companies that used the labour of concentration camp inmates and forced labourers still exist and operate. He also pointed out that, for some time now, Germany has been following a new historical policy. World War II and its aftermath have been reduced to the Holocaust. The memory of the victims of other nations has thus been erased, thereby removing responsibility from the Germans for the consequences of the war and occupation in Poland and Europe.
